Sean Dix, founder of dix design+architecture, has been designing contemporary furniture, iconic luxury spaces, and bespoke high-end residential spaces for over 25 years. His projects range from archetypal chairs and highconcept Michelin-starred restaurants to Moschino and Furla flagship boutiques. Dix’s clients span the globe, and his latest commissions see the studio creating new projects in Hong Kong, Manila, Shenzhen, Southern California, Ho Chi Minh City, Sardinia, Paris, London, and Bangkok.

He has worked closely with highly decorated chefs such as Matt Abergel, Antimo Merone, Shane Osborn, Diego Rossi, Vicky Lau, May Chow, David Lai, Rob Drennan, Mario Carbone, Marco Xodo, and Margarita Forés.

Sean Dix is continuously adding more top-shelf restaurants and interiors to his already stellar portfolio. He is an interior architect, furniture and product designer, and creative director based in Hong Kong and Milan.

He was born in Kansas City (USA). He travelled widely and lived in Fiji, Micronesia, the Philippines, and various American cities and European capitals before moving to Hong Kong in 2008.

He was graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a dual major in Interior Architecture and Sculpture, and pursued further studies at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and Domus Academy in Milan. He has lectured and taught at universities around the world including IULM, the Politecnico di Milano, Domus Academy, Beckmans College of Design, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Working with a close-knit and agile team of experienced, long-term collaborators, Sean Dix delivers design concepts that originate from a highly informed historical knowledge coupled with a maestro’s touch for the cinematic, rather than what might be trending. He makes use of an extensive reference library containing many hundreds of vintage and rare books on design and the arts from around the world, prized materials, as well as a collection of iconic design objects and curiosities. His interiors feature furniture and accessories designed exclusively for his own House Brand.
